Cycle of Life

My loving wife who has her own blog site introduced me to this concept of blogging. Looking thru her blogs made me realize that this idea of expression is somewhat interesting and exciting. It is very different from watching TV or videos or playing some computer games. Thus, one day while surfing the net and looking thru some of her works, I decided to create my own blog site.

Hence, the blog journey begins... But, what will I create? Shall I create a blog to highlight my conquest and achievements? Who cares about me - Boring... Or should I just write things that to show that there is more to life than what we see and feel? The latter looks more a appealing. Anyways, you the reader will be my judge. Here goes....

The picture on the to right side of this page is a picture of a mango tree. Since I was a child, living in the metro, I was always fascinated by the trees that I see here and there. Why are they so tall? What or who made them? Why are there many kinds of trees? My curiosity was more fired up when my dad told me that trees came from a small seed. A seed? Those tiny little creature or thing or whatever you call them! How come? How did it happen? I became very interested in my science subjects. My teacher helped me understand the cycle of the life of tree. The big grown trees will generate some fruits, then it will fall on the ground and will be covered by the soil. Constantly the soil, sun and rain nourishes the seed until it grows into a little plant then later another big tree. Truly the poem of Joyce Kilmer, "Trees" says it all how wonderful trees are.
This concept about the life of the tree helped me appreciate the life that we have. Now that I have a child of my own, I wonder if he will also appreciate the trees that he sees. Looking at our son I realize that people are like a tree. Man and woman will join together, then the baby will be conceived in the mother's womb. After 9 months the baby is born and parents will have to nurture them to become a full grown adult so that they can continue with the cycle of life. I believe these two examples of life cycle continues because of a super being. A being far beyond all our knowledge can fathom. Behind these cycles is a God that controls and guides everything according to His elaborate plan.
